The Resurrection

The Resurrection will be a new beast. Gone are the stinky bins and chicken carcasses that gave St Jerome’s its unique character; now that everyone’s a bit older, stools will replace the milk crates.

Matilda Bay

I bet you didn’t know that Matilda Bay was the first new brewery to open in Australia after World War II! Many craft brewers have followed in our footsteps, but we were real brewing pioneers. It all started in 1984 when a bunch of guys with a passion for making great beer got together at the famed Sail and Anchor Hotel in Fremantle, Western Australia and formed the Matilda Bay Brewing company.

No Lights No Lycra

No Lights, No Lycra is dance class meets nightclub, but unlike the former, there are no instructors, and unlike the latter, there’s no booze, no drugs and absolutely no lycra allowed. Oh, and they switch off the lights!

The dance craze has proved so popular that it spread from Brooklyn to Berlin in less than a year and now it has moved into our own backyard. Once a week, confident Melburnians make their way to the community hall in Fitzroy to shake their booties in the darkness.
